Summary0000914: [BFX-AT100] RCU is disconnected via timeout. please investigate why didn't send empty packet.

i receive some report from RCU company.
They think it is a critical issue.

This issue happen on Smart3 box with BRM_BA02.
a disconnected RCU issue happen via timeout. (within 18hours)


 1. frame 1,947,738 : RCU response as empty packet.
    as renewal as NESN,SN of frame 1,947,738, STB received empty packet of RCU(1,947,738).

  2. Frame 1947,815 last, STB no longer sends empty packets (approximately 860 ms)

  3. after step 2, it happen connection timeout. so it is disconnected.

for your reference, it is about 130cm a distance btw STB and RCU.

RCU Company reproduced same issue regarding to didn't send empty packet so RCU seem to be disconnected.
They think it is a critical issue. we have to solve it during BTF QA/BMT.
 it is about 130cm a distance between STB and RCU.

after frame 223,730(RCU response), STB send 16 times empty packet and don't send it any more ( red block)

Hi Jason,

Disconnect event happens in the log file.
However, STB and RCU re-connect automatically after 10s supervisor timeout.
I think it is not a critical issue.
Please check it with RCU company.

BTW, is it 100% reproducible ?
Please also share reproduce steps to us.

I give a feedback from RCU. They think it is a critical issue.
I think we have to resolve it.

as your comment, although reconnect RCU, However, it is a critical issue regarding to not sent a empty packet from STB BT chipset.
during a period(supervision time) of don't send any packet , RCU don't work or when push a button of RCU, No send a release key. so it may proceed UI working at once.
(example: when push a key for navigate of channel, Menu.., don't work properly)

this issue is reproduced as 100% ratio. after paring RCU and left for a long time, it happen this issue.
